As a child, Willow (*name changed for her protection) was placed into the United States foster care system where she was approved for citizenship. Because her foster parents did not fill out the proper paperwork to secure her legal status, she remains undocumented to this day. This is not the result of a choice she made, yet she has spent her entire adult life living with the consequences.

A human who has endured some of the worst humanity has to offer and continues to lead with a heart full of love for those most ostracized in our communities. She cooks food regularly for the unsheltered. She is a regular awardee from local organizations, recognized for contributing over 500+ volunteer hours. No one will know this, however, as she is not motivated by the praise nor does she publicly receive the awards in front of crowds, out of fear of ICE.
